Mindset Learn with Jeffrey Gitomer

Jeffrey has some good Mindset Learn pointers for salespeople that want to achieve greatness in their field on a daily basis. And facing the facts, we’re all a kind of salesperson – even in a very small way – every day when we promote ourselves to other people at work or in the privacy of our family or relations. So as this post is more on changing your mindset with Mindset Learn than selling, there are some similarities that arise from the book dedicated to people wanting to serve other people (customers) with their products on an ongoing basis.

This may not be the perception that you have of salespeople, and yet these people have chosen a profession that requires them to be more outgoing than most of us prefer to be – and often they seem to like it!

So why is this book relevant to a non-salesperson ? Apart from the dedicated sales jargon, it is said that the hardest part of selling is to face the fear of rejection while still being positive. And the fear of rejection we all know to well, be it personal or work related.

Selling is all about daily personal development – training and expanding your Mindset Learn – with the outcome of building relationships with other people, done in a friendly manner, and mastering excellent language skills so that other people are interested in hearing them speak – so selling is the act of creating an environment where people want to buy and come back again and again !

Mindset Learn Extra – Humor

If you ever expand your Mindset Learn with a foreign language, the very last thing you do is learn humor. The hardest thing to do in a foreign language is make a joke. Humor is the most difficult of nuances to master, and when you do, you have the basis for solid intellectual rapport and solid intellectual engagement.

The essence of humor is that it is relaxing and creates a more open atmosphere. An atmosphere that will breed friendship, respect and compatibility. The reason why Jeffrey refers to it as the final frontier – is that it’s the last element that you put into the relationship process. If you don’t consider yourself a funny person, study humor or read about how to become more humorous.

Also to expand your Mindset Learn on humor:

1. Read joke books, or books that are funny
2. Watch and listen to children very carefully
3. Take an acting class
4. Start looking for humor in your everyday life
5. Hang around funny people

As a Man Thinketh by James Allen

This bestselling book by James Allen was the inspiration behind The Secret and holds the underlying premise that our thoughts create our reality. Allen demonstrates how what we think, we become, and the power we have to change our mindset to change our life. He illustrates how by mindset training we can create the life we want. As he writes, “…by virtue of the thoughts which they choose and encourage; that mind is the master –weaver, both of the inner garment of character and the outer garment of circumstance, and that , as they may have hitherto woven in pain and ignorance they may now weave in enlightenment and happiness.“

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

We’ve included this book in our selection of the 3 best books on mindset training but we had to include it in Best Books On NLP as well. It is a powerful illustration of the principles of NLP in action. A classic bestseller by one of the pioneers in mindset training, this book was first published during the Great Depression and was inspired by a suggestion from the Scottish-American businessman, Andrew Carnegie. Think and Grow Rich is based on Hill’s work, The Law of Success and condenses the 16 Laws in that book, into 13 actionable prinicples for people to apply and achieve personal fulfillment.

NLP: The New Technology of Achievement edited by Charles Faulkner and Steve Andreas

From the book, “NLP is the study of human excellence. NLP is the ability to be your best more often. NLP is the powerful and practical approach to personal change. NLP is the new technology of achievement.”

This book offers you step-by-step action plans using NLP techniques to identify and learn the characteristics of achievers and create a plan of action for your own success. With 12 chapters, outlining the basics of NLP and the impact it has on goals, relationships, phobias, fears and self-esteem, the book also, has a 21-day program as well to give you the essential skills needed to change your mindset and experience skyrocketing success.

Practical NLP: How to use NLP principles to improve your life and work, even if you’re not NLP trained by Andy Smith

This book explains the 12 prinicples of NLP and offers you practical exercises and tips to use right away and start seeing a difference in your mindset and life. As the author says, “When I train NLP courses, I’ve often noticed that major realisations or ‘Aha!’ moments for many participants often come quite early in the course, when they learn about the ‘presuppositions’ or principles of NLP. So before the participants have had a chance to learn much in the way of ‘technical’ NLP skills, and certainly before they’ve had a chance to practice enough to get good at them, they’re already seeing the potential for big improvements.”

Mindset Book Review Jaime Vendera Mindset Programming Your Mind for Success

Jaime Vendera writes on his own website – “Mindset: Programming Your Mind For Success” isn’t just another one of those “manifest your dreams and desires” books. It is that and more.

The Mindset method is a simple daily system designed to reprogram your mind in order to achieve health, wealth, success and happiness; learn to manifest abundance into your life, become motivated to succeed, learn the secret to turning on the well of creativity within your own mind. Never again feel unmotivated. Never again feel like you have writer’s or creator’s block. Never again feel like you don’t have the tools to change your life, because in Mindset, author Jaime Vendera gives you these tools…

Are you ready for the the tools to create a life of abundance, become successful and tap into a boundless source of creativity by applying the exact same method Jaime Vendera used to fulfill his dreams of becoming a “rock star” vocal coach? Then Mindset is for you! Does this system work??? Mindset has allowed Jaime to author successful books, set a glass shattering world-record and appear on television shows around the world! So the answer is YES.

Regardless of your goals, dreams and desires, Mindset teaches you how to program your mind (just like a computer) through a simple Mind/Body Process, a four minute meditation, and by answering five simple questions every day. Are you ready to change your life and fulfill your dreams? Then use Mindset daily to reprogram your mind…Just like a computer!

Mindset Book Review excerpt – The Mind/ Body Process

The program is based on the techniques that Jaime Vendera has used in his own life. Therefore it is not just another manifestation book. Mindset is a unique systematic way to turn the mind & body into an antennae & magnet in order to pick up on thoughts that will help to attract health, wealth and success.

The super conscious has many names. It’s also known as woman’s intuition, the collective conscious, higher self, infinite intelligence, the universal conscious, gut instinct, the universe etc. – ie. your personal connection to what’s larger than yourself.

The Mindset system is based on daily mind & body programming sessions called the Mind/ Body Process, along with five questions to be answered throughout the day either mentally or in a journal.

1st Mindset Book question:

– What will I do today to better myself ?

This question creates a sense of direction that leads toward success throughout the day, combined with the other four questions that help establish reflection and momentum for the next day.

Mindset Book-Review – Brain sides

Right-brained people are usually known to be good poets, musicians, writers or artists. Leonardo Da Vinci and Albert Einstein were considered right brained. Unusual with Albert Einstein, though he did do poorly at school because he was a daydreamer.

Left-brained thinkers tend to lean towards being lawyers, politicians, mathematicians and bankers. So not much daydreaming going on – more financial and mathematical thinking, analytical problem solving, speech giving etc.

Even with this distinction, we’re ALL both left and right brained, and the goal is to embrace the unlimited potential of both hemispheres, and thereby tap into various forms of genius.

Mindset Book Review – Bruce Lipton Biology of Belief

The Biology of Belief is a groundbreaking work in the field of new biology, and it will forever change how you think about life. Using simple language, illustrations, humor, and everyday examples, Bruce Lipton demonstrates how the new science of Epigenetics is revolutionizing our understanding of the link between mind and matter and the profound effects it has on our personal lives and the collective life of our species. See Biology of Belief YouTube video below to learn a new Mindset (See also Mindset Carol Dweck) about disease and the body.

Mindset Book Review excerpt – The Three Root Causes Of Disease

The predominant and most important source of disease is the mind.

What’s wrong is that sometimes the wrong signal is sent, and sometimes I’m out of sync with the world that I’m living in. The mind is sending the wrong information at inappropriate times and that results in dysfunction and diseases. So we really want to understand the nature of the propagation of these signals, because in 95% of the people they actually arrived on this planet with protein mechanism that would provide for a very healthy happy life. And rather than focus on the genes and the chemistry which is the conventional medicine perspective, the new physics and the new study of control reveal that we should be focusing on the signals, which include both physical signals and energy signals – that include thought. See also Carol Dweck Fixed Mindset

The nature of how the signal gets to a protein is the mechanism that provides for the engagement of behavior. And when done appropriately presumable that would lead to our thriving, and when our behavior is inappropriate or out of harmony with the environment would actually cause us to express a disease and enough to actually kill us.

Mindset Book-Review – Epigenetic control

All the years up to now we have given a gene an ability of self-actualization. A gene turns on, a gene turns off, a gene knows what to do when and where and why. And yet this has been a misperception because it was a belief based on Darwin’s original idea that the hereditary trait controls life. And as soon as they found the hereditary thing was DNA they immediately ascribed DNA the power of control.

But through recent research and understanding the nature of chromosomes and the DNA and the protein interactions we recognized that this is totally misunderstood.

Bruce Lipton, Ph.D. in Developmental Cell Biology, gives a profound explanation in this Mindset Book of how we have been mislead in our belief about disease and the functions of the human body. Partly because of new research, and partly because the established western beliefs in biology have taken a turn against nature and led us in a direction of fear and irresponsible behavior and attitudes. This book will seriously change your mindset about the origin of most known diseases.
