Tony Robbins acquired his NLP skills from one of the founders of NLP, John Grinder. This, along with perceptiveness for the human mind, helped him propel to greatness in his field. Paul McKenna also acquired his NLP skills form one of NLP’s co-creators, Richard Bandler. He has two doctorates, the second of which he got with his 70,000 word thesis The Effects of Fixed Action Patterns and Neuro-Linguistic Programming in Determining Outcomes in Human Behaviour.
Derren Brown is most famous for his captivating television shows, he also has a great reputation for his unrivaled development of hypnosis and NLP and his graceful display of NLP Master skills to influence the thoughts of his guest stars.
He has a flexible view of NLP and has tailored a lot of NLP Techniques to make them work a bit more seamlessly.
NLP Master criteria
In order to certify as an NLP Master, you have to first acquire an NLP Practitioner Certification post that you need to meet the subsequent criteria for NLP Master Trainer Certification:
A. Length of Training: A Minimum of 120 hours of advanced training imparted by a certified trainer and a minimum of 15 hours of direct trainer supervision.
B. Demonstrating the ability to recognize the following techniques patterns, basic skills, and conceptions of NLP and to execute these competently with others and with self.
1.Design individualized interventions (generative and remedial).
2.All practitioner level skills, in combination and on their own.
3.Ecological change work.
4. Shifting easily back and forth between form and content, and label and experience.
5.Specific Master Practitioner Skills:
a. Meta Programs.
b. Criteria (Values).
i. identification and utilization.
ii. criteria ladder.
iii. elicitation of complex equivalence and adjustment of criteria.
iv. sleight of mouth.
c. Installation and utilization of strategies.
d. Refined use of submodalities.
e. Deliberate multi-level communication.
f. Negotiations.
g. Presentation skills.
h. Modeling.
i. Utilization and transformation of beliefs and presuppositions.
